What if you could rely on an easy-to-use interface to access asset information such as GIS and documents? What if that interface was custom-designed to meet the specific needs of your operations?
Created by Mott MacDonald for utility and pipeline engineers, Fieldbook is a suite of hosted software applications. Fieldbook was developed to be user-friendly with minimal training. It is optimized for the low bandwidth situations that may be encountered under field conditions.
Fieldbook is configured to suit the individual needs of each client. Users require passwords for access and functions are role-based. Each user can access only the specific applications authorized by the client.
Base functions included with a typical Fieldbook application include GIS access (including ESRI-based maps), comprehensive document management, hydraulic modeling, and outage management. Other applications include a variety of inspection and work management solutions.
Fieldbook is a hosted solution but can be made available for client-side hosting as well. As a hosted application, all hardware and software issues are managed by Mott MacDonald. Clients need only provide Internet access to run the application. A help desk supports users during business hours.
A key advantage to the hosted Fieldbook approach is that users merely subscribe to the service, as opposed to making a large capital expenditure. The client can therefore retain the flexibility to pursue other solutions if desired in the future.
